More Goldwing adventures
I have joined another motorcycle forum:
and was reading some comments about people who bought new bikes and found either the oil or coolant levels below what they should be. I pulled the right side cover off and checked the oil and found it to be correct.
I pulled the left side cover, and a little rubber thingie fell out. I looked around but could not tell where it came from.
I put it in my pocket and proceeded to check the coolant level. The coolant just barely showed on the dipstick, so I decided to run to bike over the Seminole Power Sports and have them take a quick look to make sure all was OK. I have no interest in winding up sitting alongside the road with the bike overheated.
The rubber thing was supposed to be attached to the side cover, so they stuck it back on with some silicone. They also topped off the coolant level, telling me that there must have been an air bubble in the system, and it must have burped.
I told the customer care guy that I was still having problems with getting an “Invalid Operation” error on the GPS unit. He took a compact flash card from another bike and stuck it in mine. I will have to try it for a while to see if that fixes it.
I also had him try to open my left saddle bag, and he could not do it, even though they had just “fixed” it yesterday morning. I now have to take it back on Tuesday to have them look at it.
They checked while I was there, and the correct side panel has still not come in yet. While these are little things, I am starting to get frustrated.
